Recreation  of the Chernobyl children in Scandinavia.

"A large star, burning like a torch, dropped from the sky... The name of that star is "Bitterness"

On the 26 of April year 1986 on the silence spring night it was an explosion on the fourth energetic block of Chernobyl Atomic power Station and that explosion shook the whole world. Terrifying news about Catastrophe in Chernobyl, a small city, situated on the place where grey Dnipro and dilatory Prypiat' come together, flew over the world.     Mankind  understood it's weakness before Chernobyl disaster and necessary of mutual help. Chernobyl has become a silent reproach of the past and painful warning for the future generations. Atomic whirlwind put it's step on the area of 12 regions, cruelly changed the fate of more than 3,5 millions people, 125 thousands of them have died. On the 14-th year after the catastrophe – thousands of people are not outsettled from the polluted zone, the number of sick and dying people is increasing. Only in Volyn region about 90 thousands children are effected from Chernobyl. 47329 of them still live in the polluted zone.

 Problems come into other problems… How to find the way out?

Bible tells us, that God knows everything, He knows the desire of our heart, our need and problems. He opens the hearts of the people who live in the Northern countries to help Chernobyl children. Since 1992 more than 900 of small  Ukrainians, that are influenced by Chernobyl catastrophe have been for rehabilitation to Northern countries. Bridges of  friendship and brotherly love have united hearts of children with friends from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Faroe islands. Children got to be more healthy and stronger not only physically but spiritually. The light of  love and hope of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has lightened up their lives. Volyn representative of  Scandinavian Childrens Mission in Ukraine is sincerely grateful to God for wonderful brothers and sisters from Malmo, Osby, Orebro, Molho (Sweden), Lingdal (Norway), Roskilde, Bornholm ( Denmark), Helsingby (Finland) and Faroe islands for  Chernobyl children. May God richly bless you all, your families and countries.

Beginning from the year 1997  Mission takes care about Rehabilitation centre in the village of Dubechno, Stara-Vyzhva district in Volyn. The Baptist Church of this village opened this centre. In three years 2170 orphans, children from poor families have been rehabilitated in this centre.

Lord is really a good shepherd! He always stretches His helping hand for the needy one.

  " My help will come from the Lord,

    Who made heaven and earth !

    He will not let you fall;

    Your protector is always awake."

    (Psalm 121:2,3)
